In the Offing, a new exhibition by Turner-prize winning artist Mark Leckey, will be on show at the Turner Contemporary, Margate Kent from 7 October to 14 January.
The exhibition is a group work with emerging artists and musicians who have been invited by Leckey to interpret its title, which refers to an 18th century nautical term relating to the distant sea horizon.

Runs at the Turner Contemporary art gallery, Margate, Kent, UK from 7 October 2023 to 14 January 2024.
Turner Contemporary
Opened in 2011, the David Chipperfield designed Turner Contemporary is one of the leading art galleries in the UK. It was awarded the prize as the outstanding tourism project in the UK by the British Guild of Travel Writers in the same year. The gallery received its millionth visitor in 2013, and in 2020 became the first contemporary building to appear on a bank note from the Bank of England.
Just an hour and a half’s train ride from London St Pancras station, Margate is a coastal resort that has seen a rejuvenation over the past couple of decades. A visit to the Kent seaside town makes a great excursion from London, or as part of a longer trip to the southern England county that is famed for its hops and more recently wine.
