Since Foodies Festival was started in Edinburgh in 2006, it has grown into what the organisers claim is the largest food and drink festival in the UK.

Dubbed Gastro-Glastonbury, Foodies Festival now has 13 festivals, from 4 May to 8 September, across England and Scotland featuring quality food and great live acts.

Each Foodie Festival celebrates the food of its region, with local artisan producers, street food traders, and drink and food producers taking part.

At the heart of each Foodie Festival is the Chefs Theatre, where top chefs demonstrate their cooking skills. Individual sections include: Cake and Bake Theatre; Drinks Theatre; and Kids Cookery School. There will also be a shopping village with artisan market.
