Brussels Summer Festival 2021, Belgium

The Brussels Summer Festival in August has grown to one of Europe’s not-to-be-missed music festivals. The five-day event will turn the royal quarter of Brussels into a massive dance floor with a rich programme that includes major international music acts as well as new discoveries and Belgian stars.

The 2021 festival has been cancelled. The following information will be updated when details of the 2022 festival are made known.

Brussels has always had a lot to offer in terms of music, and at the Brussels Summer Festival you will be treated to 50 different world class acts spread over three stages in the historical city centre. Started in 2002 as the Brussels European Rhythm’s Festival or Eu’ritmix, the festival grew in popularity and was re-baptised in 2007 as the Brussels Summer Festival, attracting over a quarter of a million revellers that year.

This year’s edition will see a more condensed version with the duration of the festival reduced from the usual 10 days to five, as well as fewer concert stages, due to the rising cost of security. However, what has been lost in quantity, the organisers have made up with the quality of a very promising line-up (see below) ranging from rock, hip hop and pop to jazz and world music.

When is the Brussels Summer Festival 2021

The summer festival takes place from Wednesday 18 to Sunday 22 August.

Where in Brussels will the festival take place

There will be three locations in central Brussels, as follows:

• Orange Stage at Mont des Arts / Dynastie f
• Ethias Stage at Place des Palais
• Place du Musée

There will also be access for people with reduced mobility.
