Bridging Asia and Africa, just across the Mediterranean Sea from Europe, Egypt has one of the most ancient civilisations in the world. Its heritage can be traced back to the 5th or 6th milennia BC.
The list of the temples in the country is extensive, from the Pyramids of Giza, just outside of the capital Cairo, to the Valley of the Kings by Luxor, Karnak, Abu Simbel and Kom Ombo. And as for the Pharoahs and Gods, who can not be bedazled by the mystery surrounding Tutankhamun and Cleopatra, the Falcon God, Horus, and Sobek, the Crocodile God.
This means that any Egypt travel experience is bound to be a wonderful experience. Many excursions combine a visit to the temples and ancient civilisations with a bit of sun on the beach resorts around the Red Sea, such as Sharm el Sheikh and Hurghada.
The best way to visit the country is on a luxury Nile Cruise. Nothing compares with being transposed back to the early 19th Century to become one of the early travellers discovering the amazing temples and sites. Perhaps you could even play your own Death on the Nile.
The country is also football crazy, and a trip to see a game is a must on any trip. If the intrnational team is playing you might even see global superstar Mohammed Salah, the Liverpool forward playing. Whatever you choose to do on your Egyptian holidays you are sure to return with sufficient memories to fill a lifetime.
