World’s First Art-inspired Hot Spring Resort

Set in the mountains on the Sengokuhara plateau, KAI Sengokuhara is a recently-opened Japanese hot spring ryokan which combines an art gallery and atelier (art studio) with healing hot springs.

The area is just two hours from Tokyo and is dotted with authentic art galleries and museums displaying Japanese and international artwork. The property itself is adorned with pictures and crafts by resident artists and offers various activities to inspire guests to find their “inner artist”.

Stay overnight from £509 per room, per night on a half-board basis (two sharing). Flights are extra.
