Tapnell Farm Eco-Route to Isle of Wight

It’s now easy to take the environmentally friendly route to the Isle of Wight, thanks to a new two-night cycling break from Tapnell Farm, which starts the moment guests get off the Lymington ferry at Yarmouth.

Guests booking the new Eco Travel & Stay package will be met at the ferry terminal by representatives of Wight Cycle Hire. They will give them two bikes and cycling equipment and whisk away their luggage on an electric cargo bike to Tapnell Farm.

Guests will be free to get started on their holiday immediately by exploring the beautiful countryside and coast of West Wight and beyond on two wheels. And when they finally freewheel into Tapnell Farm, they can relax in one of the environmentally friendly and supremely comfortable Eco Pods, Modulogs or Domes.

Now celebrating its 10th anniversary year, with multiple Green Tourism Awards to its name, Tapnell Farm is the Isle of Wight’s leading eco-friendly tourism attraction. Its glamping accommodation has been created using recycled and natural materials and is powered by solar, with sustainable luxuries including wood-fired outdoor tubs and local produce in the breakfast hampers available to order from the on-site farm shop.

As well as exploring the island, there’s lots to do on site, including visiting the farm park and its resident animals – the first wallaby joey born on the farm in four years recently popped its head out of its mother’s pouch. There are activities as fun for adults as for kids to do, such as the Aqua Park, Football Golf, axe-throwing and clay-pigeon shooting. Plus delicious food can be bought at the farm shop for creating meals and snacks, or enjoyed at The Cow restaurant, which is renowned for its award-winning burgers (plus there are veggie and vegan options, too).

The Eco Travel & Stay offer includes two nights’ accommodation, two standard bicycles, with upgrades available for electric bikes, return luggage transfers to Yarmouth ferry terminal, helmets, bike locks, route maps and island-wide mechanical support between 8am and 6pm.

Price £350, including two nights in an Eco Pod, or £500 for a Modulog or Dome, based on two sharing, from 26 April to 8 July (excluding May half-term school holidays). Upgrade to electric bikes for a total of £50. To book, call 01983 758729 quoting ECO TRAVEL & STAY.
