Prestige Holidays offers springtime packages to coincide with the launch of a major new film release and Guernsey’s ‘Occupation Liberation’ Heritage Festival 2018.
Guernsey will take centre stage this spring with two major cultural launches:
On 30 March, the island’s annual Heritage Festival, which runs until 10 May, starts with more than 300 events, focusing on the German Occupation and Liberation of the Bailiwick during WW2. Then, in cinemas from 20 April, is ‘Guernsey’, the big screen adaption of the ‘The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society’ bestseller, starring Lily James.
Specialist operator to the island, Prestige Holidays, (tel: 01425 480600) has some great offers to make the most of the events, with prices for a family of four from £1099 for a three-night break this Easter. The package is based on two adults and two children sharing a family suite on BB at the four star St Pierre Park with return Poole to Guernsey ferry crossings with a car on 30 March.
Couples looking for luxury can stay in the former home of the Governor of Guernsey. A three-night break on B&B for two at the five-star Old Government House Hotel in St Peter Port starts from £449 per person. The price includes return flights from Southampton with Flybe departing 22 April and private transfers on island.
