Shorefield Reveals Socially Distanced Getaways

Shorefields Holidays, the family-run holiday park company has revealed the new steps it is taking for added guest and employee safety, whilst adhering to strict coronavirus rules.

The rebranded holidays for 2020, known as ‘Shorefield Getaways’, will allow holidaymakers to enjoy a staycation in some of Dorset & the New Forest’s most sought-after locations, without all the usual facilities.

Chairman and Managing Director, Simon Pollock, said, “For many, having something to look forward to is a haven during the current situation.

“Of course, the safety and wellbeing of our guests and staff is of utmost importance, which is why we have introduced a range of new procedures such as contactless check-in and PPE for all housekeeping staff.

“Our cleaning procedures have had a complete overhaul too, with increased sanitation, all linen being washed at 70°C and a new swab test system, which randomly tests four areas within each holiday home to ensure the utmost standards of cleanliness and give our guests added reassurance.”

The getaways provide a comfortable and modern holiday home, safely distanced from others. The self-contained modern holiday homes are no less than five metres apart, making them ideal for adhering to social distancing guidelines whilst basking in stunning surroundings.

The new ‘contactless’ check-in also reduces the need for guests to interact with staff or visit reception, letting them to head straight to their holiday accommodation where the key will be securely waiting in a safe location.

Simon Pollock added, “As social distancing requirements are likely to stay in place for the foreseeable near future, we don’t anticipate being able to provide all full experience with all the usual facilities our guests have come to love. However, families can still escape to the scenic South Coast to enjoy fresh sea air and open landscapes.”

For guest safety, the leisure facilities at all parks will remain closed until further notice. Holidaymakers can still pick up any essentials in the on-site shops or enjoy the takeaway service, all of which have new social distancing procedures in place.

Shorefield Holidays will look to safely re-open facilities such as swimming pools and restaurants as soon as it is deemed safe to do so by the Government and with added safety measures.

With miles of stunning coasts and wide-open landscapes of the New Forest National Park right on the doorstep of all eight of Shorefield Holidays’ parks, they make the ideal destination for discovering some of the South Coast’s scenery.

A three-night break in September costs £284 for a family of four staying in a two-bedroomed luxury caravan.
