Two nights on Lake Kariba in Matusadona National Park – the shoreline here is glorious for walks and drives. Boat and canoe trips on the lake, too, exploring the inlets and creeks, are wonderful. There is good game here, including elephants and crocodiles. Changa Safari Camp is very luxurious. It has exclusive access to almost five kilometres of Lake Kariba’s shoreline which, guests are usually surprised to find, looks a lot like a typical Indian Ocean coastline.
Three nights in Mana Pools National Park – a UNESCO World Heritage site on Zimbabwe’s northern border with Zambia that’s amazingly remote, beautiful and bountiful, and offers some of the most outstanding wild walking in the country.
