Save £1,500 on a Zimbabwe Safari

Robin Pope Safaris, renowned for its expertly-run safaris in remote wilderness areas, has announced savings of over £1,500 on an eight-night Classic Zimbabwe safari per couple. The trip is split between three seductive camps in diverse areas, with free flight transfers in between. Flights not only save long hours of travel on bumpy roads but also give a fascinating overview of the region.

Three nights in Hwange National Park – Zimbabwe’s largest game park and home to over 100 mammal species, including lion, leopard and rhino, and a large elephant population. Enjoy daytime and after-dinner game drives and walking safaris too. The Hide, which consists of ten tented chalets, overlooks a permanent waterhole that supports a variety of animals such as elephant, buffalo and giraffe.

Two nights on Lake Kariba in Matusadona National Park –  the shoreline here is glorious for walks and drives. Boat and canoe trips on the lake, too, exploring the inlets and creeks, are wonderful. There is good game here, including elephants and crocodiles. Changa Safari Camp is very luxurious. It has exclusive access to almost five kilometres of Lake Kariba’s shoreline which, guests are usually surprised to find, looks a lot like a typical Indian Ocean coastline.

Three nights in Mana Pools National Park – a UNESCO World Heritage site on Zimbabwe’s northern border with Zambia that’s amazingly remote, beautiful and bountiful, and offers some of the most outstanding wild walking in the country. John’s Camp, which is owned and run by Robin Pope Safaris, has just five comfortable, spacious tents (each with an open-air, en suite bathroom), all with stunning views across a flood plain towards the Zambezi River. The concept is simple but the experience is intimate, offering guests exceptional service, great game viewing and top-notch guides.

The cost of this trip, which can be tailor-made to suit individual requirements, is from £3,896 pp (based on two sharing) – a total saving of £1,532 per couple – including full-board accommodation, all transfers, most drinks, game activities and laundry. International flights not included. Offer valid for travel from May to October 2019. Safari starts in Victoria Falls and ends in Harare.
