Top snorkelling spots: The beaches surrounding Sarigerme are renowned for their vast numbers of nesting Loggerhead turtles. The turtles, locally called Caretta Caretta are relaxed and calm creatures that can be found swimming in the sea under the glow of the Turkish sun. Visitors coming to the area in early summer will also have the opportunity to watch the turtle’s hatchlings dashing across the sand towards the ocean. Holidaymakers can tag along with the turtles and follow them, with some flippers, on a snorkelling tour offshore.

Where to stay: The Hilton Dalaman Sarigerme Resort & Spa has its own private beach and provides guests access to snorkelling equipment. The onsite jetty means guests have easy access to the underwater world. Families, friends and couples can jump in, make a splash and swim out to see the colourful wonders of the big blue such as turtles, barracudas, rays and groupers.
