This short break combines a visit to the recently reopened Tate St Ives (with a new ‘Modern Art and St Ives’ display with work by Ben Nicholson, Peter Lanyon, Barbara Hepworth, Piet Modrian, Naum Gabo and Paule Vezelay), guided tours of three special Cornish gardens (Trewidden, Godolphin and the Lost Garden of Heligan) and three walks on the South West Coast Path, developed originally by coastguards for patrolling Cornwall against the threat of smugglers. Art, Gardens and Walks in Cornwall (23-27 April 2018) costs from £1,550 pp (two sharing), including four nights’ full-board (two nights in St Ives and two nights in Fowey), all land transportation in a private vehicle, all entrance and sightseeing fees, plus a Kudu Travel tour leader. Walking grade: standard (1.5-3 hours per day).
