Fly to Ethiopia’s Bale Mountains

Ethiopian Airlines has launched a domestic flight between Addis Ababa and Goba in south-central Ethiopia, making the spectacular Bale Mountains – one of Ethiopia’s most remote and wild national parks – much more accessible (a one-hour flight rather than an eight-hour drive).

TravelLocal’s nine-day Bale Mountains trip includes a four-day trek there, plus a safari in Awash National Park, and Sanetti Plateau, home of the elusive Ethiopian Wolf.

The trip costs from £1,740 pp (two sharing), including eight nights’ B&B, some meals, transfers, excursions and the services of a local guide. Flights extra.
