Flight-Free Low-Carbon Getaway to Amsterdam

Eurostar will start running a direct service from Amsterdam to London for the first time from Thursday April 30, with tickets on sale from 11 February.

Now that it’s possible to make the journey on a direct service in both directions, the train will be in direct competition with flights with the benefit of lower carbon emissions, shorter checking in times and no luggage restrictions.

Rotterdam – Tailor Made Rail

In recent months the flygskam or Flight shaming movement has seen an air traffic slump in several countries in Europe.

To mark the occasion, Tailor Made Rail has launched a new holiday to Amsterdam and Rotterdam, the Netherlands’ second city, which will also have a direct service back to London from 18 May.

The holiday includes all rail travel and two nights hotel accommodation in Amsterdam and Rotterdam from £569 per person.
