Celebrate Summer with a Roast Staycation

With holiday season upon us, many will be jetting off to warmer climes to top up their tans, see the sights and indulge in the local cuisine. But whether you’re choosing to ‘stay-cate’ this year or have just returned with a case of the holiday blues, Borough Market’s Roast Restaurant has you covered.

With the launch of its new Summer Staycation Series, Roast is offering customers the chance to enjoy a variety of fan favourite holiday dishes – from Spanish Seafood Paella to French Moules Frites to American Southern Fried Chicken – all created using the best British supplies.

Proving that UK produce most definitely rivals some of the world’s finest ingredients, each of the dishes, traditionally associated with far flung holiday destinations, has been cleverly crafted using only locally sourced ingredients.

The likes of Welsh lamb, Wiltshire Farm scotch bonnet and delicious Dorset clams have all been specially selected by Roast to develop a menu which evokes the feeling of warm summer evenings by the sea, while remaining true to the restaurant’s heritage which is firmly rooted in Britain. Head Chef

Stuart Cauldwell comments “Roast has long been known for producing some of the finest quality British cuisine in London, but we are aware that our customer’s tastes go far beyond this. We wanted to create a menu that pays homage to fond memories of summer holidays, while still showing that Brits do it best with unbeatable ingredients from fish to cheeses to wines”.

The Summer Staycation Series launches for six weeks on Monday 9th July, with each of the six dishes available for one week only.
