Enjoy whale watching on your Hawaii holidays

Maui Ocean Centre’s new Humpbacks of Hawai‘i Exhibit and Sphere is set to open in early 2019. Hawai‘i’s humpback whales, which embark on one of Earth’s greatest migrations from the North Pacific to the Hawaiian Islands each fall, are revered for their beauty, intelligence and awe-inspiring power, yet hold one of nature’s most profound mysteries. The ocean centre’s new exhibit explores these mysteries, sharing knowledge of the whales’ nomadic lifestyle, behaviours, song, and cultural significance. The centre’s new 3D Sphere theatre, the first of its kind in Hawai‘i, will allow guests to experience a virtual encounter with Maui’s humpbacks in the whales’ own environment.
