Omnipresent over Palma’s city and steeped in eight centuries of history is La Seu Cathedral. At almost 14 metres in diameter with 24 triangles and 1236 glass pieces, it has one of the largest rose windows in the world.
Known as ‘The Gothic eye’, early birds virtual visitors will be able to see sunlight flooding all seven rose windows in a unique streaming session on the Cathedral’s Youtube next November 11.
Twice a year, on November 11 and February 2, if the sky is clear and the sun bright, a fabulous light reflection is cast from the main rose window–a result of the mathematical design that ties in with the Winter Solstice.
When: 11 November 7:15am to 8:15 am (GMT).
