Khmer New Year Events in Siem Reap

 

This year, Khmer New Year has been delayed until 17-19 August, due to COVID-19. Many people in the Kingdom will head to Siem Reap and Angkor for the traditional celebrations and Khmer New Year events.

Boutique hotel Montra Nivesha, will host a series of special events during the Khmer New Year holiday, including the following:

Aimee Ortagus will hold yoga classes from 19 to 22 August.

Photography classes

Cambodian Cookery Classes

Learn how to cook like a Cambodian with chef Bunthoeun.

The Last Reel

Screenings of The Last Reel will be held from 16 to 22 August, followed by a Q&A session with director Kulikar Sotho.

Phare Circus

Phare Circus will have performances every Friday and Saturday at 8pm, as well as special performances on 16, 17 and 20 August for Khmer New Year. Social distancing and other measures will be in place.
