From Tune Hotel to easyHotel in under an hour – and the 104 rooms are available from as little as £9.99
EasyHotel, the super budget international hotel chain is opening its Newcastle hotel in what is probably the fastest hotel rebranding of all time.
As guests checked out of the Newcastle Tune Hotel on Monday morning, easyHotel’s team checked in. Their mission? To have the hotel rebranded and ready to open as easyHotel Newcastle, in time for the day’s new guests.
The hotel at Proctor House, 23-29 Side, Newcastle, is centrally located between the City Centre and The Quayside, and an 8-minute walk from Newcastle Central Station. The property, which opened as a Tune hotel in 2014, is in excellent condition and from this afternoon will be offering easyHotel’s signature comfortable, highly affordable bedrooms, just in time for the busy pre-Christmas season.
Commenting, Jorge Rodriguez, Marketing Manager, said: “This is a great hotel, in a fantastic location and we are delighted to be able to have the doors open so quickly. Over time, we’ll be introducing our trademark extras, like bedside USB ports for phones and ‘fake views’, £1 pictures of Newcastle’s best views to save the expense of window views from so-called luxury hotels. For now, though, we look forward to providing our trademark welcome: simple, stylish rooms at super budget prices to enable our customers to keep their cash in their wallets and spend it on a great time out on the Toon.”
