From relaxing beach breaks to activity holidays, fly-drive to cruise, foodie experiences to wildlife adventures, ‘Destinations: The Holiday & Travel Show’ is the essential event to gain inspiration for travel in 2018 and indulge a passion for travelling.

The UK’s leading and longest running travel show takes place at EventCity Manchester (18-21 January) and Olympia London (1-4 February), and will be bigger than ever in 2018. With over 550 travel brands in London and 200 in Manchester, the show is packed with leading and independent tour operators, over 70 tourist boards from across the globe, vibrant entertainment and street food experiences from around the world.

Rob Debenham, Show Manager says We are delighted to announce our biggest and best Destinations Show yet with a diverse range of leading travel brands from around the world. It really is a one-stop shop for all lovers of travel – visitors can learn how to take the perfect holiday photo in our photography masterclasses, gain inspiration from the stellar line-up of talks from leading travel writers, and even get travel health advice. Plus they will enjoy a host of ‘show-only’ exclusive offers, discounts and upgrades, and thousands of free food and drinks tastings.”

A special feature of the London show is the ‘Stanfords Travel Writers Festival’ – a programme of inspirational and entertaining talks from explorers, adventurers, historians, novelists and TV personalities and many of the very best travel writers, all included in the price of the ticket. It is the UK’s only dedicated travel writers festival and offers visitors the opportunity to hear from their favourite adventurers and explorers. Celebrity speakers at the 2018 event will include Rick Stein, Michael Portillo, Charley Boorman, Julia Bradbury, Dallas Campbell, Timothy West and many more.

Exclusive for 2018, the Blue Planet II production team will lead a talk on the new book Blue Planet II and the much-loved popular BBC TV series and how they brought to life the different habitats of the oceanic world. This talk will feature breath-taking stills and photographs from the BBC Natural History Unit’s spectacular footage. The science and technology behind the making of the programme is explained together with how the team captured these amazing adventures – many of them filmed for the first time.

Inspiration can also be found at the ‘Meet the Experts’ Theatres which provides over 50 hours of free travel advice, whilst the ‘Experience the World’ stages are designed to showcase culture, food and performance across Asia, the Americas, Europe and Africa.

Returning to Manchester this year is the MASTA Travel Health Clinic, providing a team of expert nurses to advise on holiday health concerns.
