Charity Travel Auction Launched

A revolutionary new travel concept which auctions travel experiences to consumers launched on 25 October.

The auction promotes socially responsible travel while raising donations to support the NHS, and aims to help those negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. All profits will be donated to the ‘NHS Charities Together Covid Appeal’.

The new Charity Travel Auction website will allow consumers to bid or ‘buy it now’ on a hand-picked selection of exciting experiences and holidays. The company only uses independent, local travel experts, who provide on the ground support and ensure that travellers see the very best of each destination.

Owner Matt Callaway works in the travel industry and his wife Sarah is an NHS Physio who worked on the front line on Covid wards. Both Matt and Sarah were taken ill with Covid-19 in April 2020. They made a full recovery and realised that they had the knowledge to do something that could help others.

Matt writes, “The money that clients bid goes directly to the people in the place being visited and, because we cut out the middle men, we can pass all of the profit that usually goes to travel agents, to good causes like the NHS Covid appeal.”

People will be able to bid on and then enjoy a variety of experiences. Relax on a beautiful beach in the Maldives, go on an awe-inspiring safari in Kenya, stay on a luxurious wine estate in Bulgaria, have an active family adventure in Croatia, or go whale-watching in the Azores.

Covid-safe protocols are followed on all trips. Destinations such as Sri Lanka, Galapagos, Rwanda and many more will go online soon as travel continues to open up for vaccinated British travellers.

All trips are ATOL bonded, ensuring that clients’ money is 100% protected. Interested travellers can pick up the telephone and talk to a travel advisor in the UK if they want to find out more.
