Almanac X Alcron Prague is offering a new sleeper train package, All Aboard

With the launch of the new European Sleeper train route from Brussels to Prague in March 2024, Almanac X Alcron Prague is offering a new sleeper train package, All Aboard.

Embracing the Golden Age of European train travel, the newly-opened Almanac X Alcron Prague (itself a 21st Century revival of a famous 1930s hotel icon) offers guests a chic city getaway to the beautiful historic Prague, which includes:

  • Two nights in an Almanac Deluxe Room, including breakfast in The Alcron restaurant
  • A three-course dinner for two in The Alcron
  •  An Almanac sleeper train kit for two. This handy tote bag includes: two reusable Kinto tumblers for on-board coffees, and a picnic from Almanac’s plant-forward coffee shop, Elias and – to help catch forty winks while on board – a silk sleeping mask and an Almanac signature scent pillow spray.

Steeped in the history and culture of the Czech capital, Almanac X Alcron Prague is a city favourite that hosted the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Shirley Temple and Louis Armstrong as well as Cold War foreign correspondents and spies. The hotel is one of Prague’s greatest historical archives, and has been redesigned as a beacon of style, where old-world Art Deco elegance meets contemporary Czech design.

A stone’s throw from the famous Wenceslas Square and Passage Lucerna (where David Černý’s Upside Down Horse hangs), the Almanac X Alcron Prague is a short walk from the Vltava River, home to Střelecký Island, the lively Rašínovo Nábřeží embankment and hip hangout Karlín. The property is ideally situated right in the heart of Prague: frequently voted one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

Continuing Almanac’s commitment to innovative plant-forward cuisine, the hotel’s restaurant The Alcron offers a modern take on local Czech cuisine, putting a fresh, imaginative spin on Bohemian culinary tradition, with beautifully-presented, sustainable dishes that put vegetables centre stage. Alongside The Alcron is the Alcron Bar, Elias Coffee Shop and a new rooftop bar and restaurant (opening in 2024): all popular with locals as well as guests.

Almanac X Alcron Prague offers guests unique curated experiences that tap into the city culture through the arts, music, fashion and food. Those interested in the arts, for example, can visit the studios of young Czech artists Patrik Kriššák and Lucie Skřivánková (whose works hang in Almanac X Alcron Prague) or scratch beneath the surface of the city on a tour specially-curated by Patrik or Lucie that takes in their top art and design hotspots.

The new European Sleeper train route runs from Brussels to Prague, passing through Amsterdam, Dresden and Berlin. It can be extended to London (via the Eurostar) and also to Vienna (via a picturesque four-hour train), where guests can stay at Almanac’s other new 2023 opening, the Almanac Palais Vienna.

Almanac X Alcron sleeper train package, All Aboard starts from £620 for two people, based on two nights in an Almanac Deluxe Room. The Almanac X Alcron Prague opened on 1st March 2023 and has 178 rooms and 26 suites. The property is part of the European-wide Almanac Hotel portfolio. Other hotel properties include Almanac Barcelona and Almanac Palais Vienna.
