Annually, the Toquicimes food festival turns Megève into the mountain food capital of France with a variety of activities suitable for all ages, and great food. The 2024 event, scheduled for October 18 to 20, is set to continue this tradition.
What to Expect at Les Toquicimes Megève Food Festival 2024
Attendees can anticipate eagerly awaited competitions such as the Best Fondue in Megève and the Best Mountain Pâté Croute. The festival’s unique “I cook with my chef boxer” challenge, where chefs don boxing gloves to prepare dishes, injects a fun element into the gastronomic festivities. Additionally, the festival offers masterclasses, workshops for children, and a vibrant market featuring producers.
Toquicimes consistently brings new surprises, such as the French team selection for the 2025 World Fondue Championship, scheduled to be held in Tartegnin, Switzerland. This year’s competition spotlights crozets, the traditional square-shaped pasta from Savoie.
Moreover, guests can look forward to a novel experience: the Savoyard Mâchon, a communal feast where friends and family unite to enjoy mountain delicacies, charcuterie and cheese — an essential experience for festival-goers.

How to Get to Megève
The nearest railway station is at Sallanches, some 12km from Megève, from where you will need to grab a taxi. Alternatively, you can get a OuiBus from Geneva to Megève bus station, allow around two-and-a-half hours for the journey.
