Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale will make history this February and March as it is performed on both the stage of the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse and the Globe Theatre.

The Plot

King Leontes wrongly accuses his pregnant wife of having an extramarital affair with his best friend. He is so overcome with envy that he makes a string of terrible choices that split up his family and cause his newborn daughter to be abandoned. Can forgiveness and peace be restored sixteen years later?

A Tale of Two Theatres

Sean Holmes adaptation takes the audience between the aristocratic elegance of Sicilia at The Sam Wanamaker Playhouse to pastoral playground of Bohemia at the Globe Theatre.

Cast

Features: Sergo Vares, Jacoba Williams, Bea Segura, John Lightbody, Beruce Khan, Ed Gaughan and Colm Gormley.
