Estonia’s capital becomes a foodie heaven in November and March during the Tallinn Restaurant Week when you can celebrate gourmet food and dine at some of the city’s best restaurants at affordable prices.

The first week of November and 11-17 March are full of discoveries for food lovers in Tallinn when both local gourmets and visiting tourists can eat at and compare the city’s top restaurants without breaking the bank. With Tallinn Restaurant Week (TRW) the city and its culinary scene aim to make visitors feel welcome and promote dining out as a cultural experience open to everyone.

Tallinn Restaurant Week Concept

When Tallinn was elected as European Capital of Culture in 2011, the Estonian Restaurant Association launched the initiative to make the city’s culinary scene more accessible to locals and visitors alike while showcasing the high standard of Tallinn’s eating establishments. The original Restaurant Week concept was first established in New York with other major cities across the world following suit, including Amsterdam, London, Boston and Barcelona.

While in Tallinn, why not also visit Fotografiska Gallery & Restaurant.

This year 82 restaurants are participating. Food lovers can then choose between lunch and/or dinner, and between two fixed price categories.

Lunch is offered at €15 and dinner at €25. The menus are set with a selection of dishes taken from the restaurant’s à la carte menu representing the overall style of each individual establishment, while the ingredients are sourced locally as much as possible. Guests are required to book in advance if they want to participate (see below ‘How to make a reservation’).

Each week 20,000 seats are reserved for TWR.

When does Tallinn Restaurant Week take place?

The spring 2024 event is from 11 to 17 March, 2024.
