Held over a weekend in March at the Rural Life Living Museum, the Surrey Hills Spring Festival will celebrate the arrival of spring and include the finest in Surrey’s cuisine, beverages, artwork and craft.
Organised by Surrey Hills Enterprises, this festival is a special chance to welcome spring in the lovely surroundings of the museum, where guests may take part in a variety of enjoyable and interesting events that highlight the Surrey Hills’ diversity of culture, legacy and natural beauty.
What To Do at the Surrey Hills Spring Festival
A wide selection of activities for all ages includes live music, crafts and art displays. There will also be a variety of local food sellers.
Take a steam train ride to start the day off, then observe ancient crafts like charcoal making, wheelwrighting and wood turning. You may even get involved in sowing spring seeds or creating a corn dolly. Come listen to stories from Surrey children’s books read aloud by local writers while having coffee and cake in the lovely wooden Eashing Chapel.
Enjoy a locallly source lunch, dance to a variety of Surrey singer-songwriters, shop at the amazing booths for that special piece of artwork or present for a loved one, and sip on a refreshing beer, glass of wine or Surrey Hills gin and tonic.
Visitors will also be able to explore and learn about Surrey Hills’ rich history and culture. You may also explore the museum’s historic structures and learn about rural life while taking in the splendour of the Surrey Hills.
When Is the Surrey Hills Spring Festival?
The event will take place from 10am to 5pm on 25 and 26 March, 2023 at the Rural Life Living Museum in Tilford.
Tickets for the Festival
Tickets, including entrance to the Rural Life Living Museum, cost £10 in advance or £12.50 on the day, with kids under 16 go free.
