River Stage National Theatre is the biggest free outdoor arts festival in the UK capital. It takes place at the National Theatre (NT) on London‘s Southbank from 5 to 28 July. This year will be the eighth time the festival has been put on at weekends outside the NT.
The free arts festival will include music, dance, and theatre spread across four weekends in the summer.
National Theatre River Stage 2024
From 5 to 7 July The Glory will return to the River Stage for the eighth year with drag performances by Jonny Woo and John Sizzle.
The following weekend (12-14 July) will see Greenwich+Docklands International Festival (GDIF) curate a programme of circus, street theatre and dance in the build up to GDIF 2024.
The Rambert dance company will bring their dynamic performances to the stage from 19 to 21 July, as well as providing you with the opportunity to learn some new steps.
The festival concludes with the National Theatre bringing family theatre, workshops and tours of the building from 26 to 28 July.
Across the festival riverside bar KERB will be serving up great London street food and beer from Two Tribes.
When is National Theatre River Stage 2024?
It will take place from 5 to 28 (Friday to Sunday) starting at 6:30 pm on the Friday and finishing at 11pm. On Saturday and Sunday it will start at noon, finishing at 11pm on Saturdays, and 6pm on Sundays.
