The Rhythm & Brews Festival is a new beer and music festival held in September to celebrate the diverse and talented pool of North East musicians, as well as regional artisanal brewers.
Over the two days of the festival, 15 breweries, such as the Ampleforth Brewery and Bad Seed Brewery in Malton, will have a selection of craft beers to sample. To accompany the ale, an array of streetfood, including gourmet bangers from Leeds’ The Sausage Box will be on sale.
Children can participate in a clown workshop, enter fly casting competitions, quoits training, or watch a blacksmith demo.
On the Saturday evening, live music takes to the stage with bands playing folk, RnB and Celtic Irish music from: Roger Sutcliffe, Joe Below, Mitch Laddie and Fat Medicine.
Yorkshire Dales Cheese Festival
Coincidentally if you are more into cheese than beer and blues, the Yorkshire Dales Cheese Festival coincides with the Rhythm & Brews Festival in the North York Moors National Park, which is on 14 to 22 September, so you can always pop there after the festival.

Tickets for the Festival
Tickets are £5 for Saturday (daytime) and £10 for Saturday (night), £3.50 for Sunday. A two-day pass is £15. There is camping, but this needs to be booked in advance.
Getting to the Festival
The Esk Valley Railway will run a service between Middlesbrough and Whitby via Danby Station.
