The largest independent UK film festival, The Raindance Film Festival returns to London for its 28th edition in October.

Whereas the BFI London Film Festival is the biggest show in town, Raindance describes itself as the “champion of the underdog”. The 2020 programme is due to be announced in September and should appear here.

Raindance founder, Elliot Grove, says, “We’re bringing the boldest and freshest talent from the world of indie filmmaking to the heart of London.”

In June organisers announced that the festival would go online from 28 October to 7 November 2020 with a series of parallel live events, including industry sessions, panel sessions and gigs in London venues.

Opening Night Gala: Stardust

The 2020 Raindance Festival starts with Stardust, with Johnny Flynn starring as David Bowie. Limited tickets for the gala screening and the afterparty at the May Fair Hotel on 28 October are available.
