Have you heard? Nova Scotia’s South Shore is a year-round destination – spring, summer, autumn and most importantly, Lobster. Every February, they celebrate the peak of lobster season with the Nova Scotia Lobster Crawl festival, a month-long, mouthwatering event.

From Barrington (the Lobster Capital of Canada) to Peggy’s Cove and every port in between, the South Shore comes alive with festivities dedicated to this delicious crustacean.
Lobster Crawl 2025
In 2025, the festival promises something for every taste. Join the Lucy the Lobster’s annual crawl out of the ocean, get in on the Lobster Roll Off Competition, and wrap up the month with the Tail End Reception. In between, enjoy an array of “claw-some” events, including a full-fledged lobster treasure hunt.
Stay tuned for the complete lineup of events and festival packages, and plan to dive into all the lobster-filled fun in February. There will also be a programme of live music throughout the festival.
