From Joyce to Yeats and Wilde, Ireland has been renowned for its literary prowess, come this November you can meet the finest crop of the Emerald Isle’s bards at the Dublin Book Festival held from November 6 to 10 at various places around the Irish capital.
Since 2006, the Dublin Book Festival has been one of the leading literary festivals in the country, and with Dublin itself being a UNESCO City of Literature, what better place is there to celebrate the written word?
This is a celebration of the wonderful writers, illustrators and publishers from Ireland, both well established and emerging.
Dublin Book Festival Programme
From talks to book launches, literary tours and even a unique reading writing experience happening on the Cork to Dublin train, the Dublin Book Festival has a diverse range of activities to appease both young and old with panel discussions, with book launches, special celebration events, poetry, literary walking tours, a full free family and children’s programme.
This year Roddy Doyle, Donal Ryan, Tana French, Lucy Foley, Sinéad Gleeson, Colin Barrett, Jan Carson and Carmel Harrington will be appearing at the leading Irish book festival.

Dublin Book Festival Hub and Venues
The main Festival Hub is at The Printworks, Dublin Castle. It has two events rooms, café and a bookshop.
More than 100 events will be held across the city in venues such as at the Dublin Liberties Distillery, the National Library of Ireland, the National Botanic Gardens and the Royal Irish Academy.
Ticket Prices
Around three-quarters of the events are free, although registration is required for most. Some events cost €5 to €10, and most walking tours are €12.
Other Dublin Literary Festival
