Billed as a chance to meet the best chocolatiers in Ireland, the Cork Chocolate Weekend runs from 23 to 25 November and is held at the Cork International Hotel, Ireland.
Though cocoa is the centrepiece of the festival, it is also very much aimed at people interested in baking – particularly that with a Christmas focus, especially hosting the Great Cork Bake Off on the last day.
Special guests this year are British chocolatier, Paul Young and executive pastry chef Paul Kelly.

The Cork Chocolate Weekend will include an adjacent marquee that features cooks. There will be a workshop area and on the first floor of the hotel a place for the kids, that includes classes for those who want to learn to bake.
On the first night is the chocolate dinner, which is creatively combined with seasonal food. This will include specially-invited cooks to prepare different courses and also wines selected to pair with what you are eating. Organizers expect this to be a sell out, so get tickets quickly if it interests you.
There will be lots of stalls for tasting and the opportunity to learn about different types of cocoa in special 30-minute sessions. The exhibitors at the festival tend to be small companies, specialising in artisanal, hand-made chocolates.
Don’t worry if all that chocolate is too much for you – the hotel where the festival takes place also has a fitness room.
