Every year one can find global cricket fans glued to their television screens drinking in competitions like the ICC Cricket World Cup, the Ashes Test series, the constantly thrilling money machine known as the Indian Premier League (IPL), or the latest experiment The Hundred. None however, can compare to the international cricket party known as the Caribbean Premier League (CPL).
The colours of the Caribbean and the music of the people seem to find their way on to the pitch as every ball is bold, and every wicket tumbles. If pure entertainment is what you are after, the Caribbean Premier League is the place to be.
Caribbean Premier League Hosts: St Kitts and Nevis
The competition is held annually on a chosen Caribbean island.
This year the CPL calls the beautiful islands of St Kitts and Nevis home. Sometimes referred to as the “The mother colony of the West Indies,” the islands are rich with Caribbean heritage. One of the lesser known Caribbean states, the islands’ rich history remains untouched by outside influence with a low crime rate, pale sandy beaches and a plethora of forts, mountains and bird watching trails to traverse. You can never run out of adventure. The best part about St Kitts and Nevis is that the islanders are obsessed with cricket. This adds another layer of intensity to the Competition.
