Bristol Light Festival, the award-winning winter festival will return in January 2025 with a stunning interactive and captivating light installation trail that will set the western British city alight.

The 202 event featured the world premiere an interstellar astronaut installation titled Ascendance by Davy and Kristin McGuire, along with the remarkable bubble light and sound installation Evanescent by Atelier Sisu. These attractions helped establish the festival as a popular choice, drawing in 275,000 visitors to experience the vibrant, colorful Bristol in the midst of winter.

The free Bristol festival of light is held across 10 days including two weekends, and will light up the English city.

The first three artworks have now been revealed, featuring the enchanting world premiere of The Whilers, the comeback of Illumaphonium with the South West debut of Somnius, and the charmingly kitsch display of Ramandu’s Table. This spectacle will be accompanied by an internationally acclaimed artist and Bristol alumnus, bringing a procession of pink flamingos.

The Bristol Light Festival 2024 festival attracted 275,000 visitors to the city centre.
