The market isn’t just for shoppers. Adventurers can enjoy exhilarating rides, including a 35-metre-high Ferris wheel providing great views of the illuminated square. For little ones, the colourful carousel, sledding hill and skating rink guarantee hours of fun.
Savour Seasonal Delights
Let your senses guide you through the market’s tantalising aromas. Local delicacies like foie gras, artisanal cheeses and honey take pride of place, while Alpine favourites such as tartiflette and Alsatian pretzels add international flair. Warm up with mulled wine at the cosy Winter Bar or toast the season with champagne and oysters for a truly festive indulgence.
Beyond the Market: Arras in Celebration
The holiday spirit spills beyond the Grand’Place. The Place des Héros dazzles with its “Court of Lights” display, where the Belfry lights up in a mesmerising show. On December 6, don’t miss the unforgettable sight of Santa Claus abseiling down the Belfry! Elsewhere, the Elves’ Village on Place du Théâtre and magical storytelling sessions in a yurt delight visitors of all ages.
