Given its prime location in the Southern Caribbean Sea, Aruba has no shortage of stunning beaches for tourists to visit. Some come over to experience the crystal-clear waters and picturesque stretch of white-sand coastlines lined with palm trees, while others are more eager to try out various water sports, such as diving, to see the tropical reefs, historic wrecks, and other marine attractions around the island. Whether you’re aiming for rest and relaxation or an exciting tropical adventure—or perhaps even both—the beaches in Aruba will certainly have something unique in store for you.

With how easy it is to book Aruba vacation rentals online nowadays, accommodations have become more accessible than ever. Thus, more tourists can take their time visiting multiple beaches during their stay. There are now also plenty of Aruba vacation deals that are related to beachside and in-water activities that you can explore, giving you many options that are sure to meet your unique needs. With that in mind, we’ve made a shortlist of some of the most beautiful beaches around the island that you should definitely visit.

  1. Eagle Beach

When it comes to Aruba beaches, Eagle Beach is a name that surely can’t be missed. Time and again, it has figured in many lists of the world’s best beaches—a recent one being in Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Awards 2023 as the Caribbean’s best. Located at Noord, right on the northern part of the island, Eagle Beach offers a pristine coastline dotted by fofoti trees, their windswept figures already an iconic sight on the beach. The surrounding deep-blue waters are perfect for taking a swim and indulging in water sports such as snorkeling.

  1. Palm Beach

Like Eagle Beach, Palm Beach can also be found at Noord, making it easy to visit both if you’re going beach-hopping. Palm Beach is a lively location suitable for water sports, from jet skiing to parasailing. The beach’s two-mile strip is also perfect for anyone looking for a beautiful view as they take a leisurely walk in the area. After taking a swim in the clear waters, you can explore the various shops, restaurants, and bars along the coast.

  1. Baby Beach

The city of San Nicolas is known for its larger-than-life street murals, but did you know there’s also a gorgeous beach right nearby? Baby Beach is famous for its half moon-shaped bay and is one of the best snorkeling spots on Aruba, allowing you to get a glimpse of the diverse marine life, including small squids, crabs, parrotfishes, and even barracudas. The beach also has sections where water levels are knee or waist-deep only, making it a highly recommended spot for families as even the kids can enjoy a leisurely swim.

  1. Arashi Beach

If you prefer a quiet, relaxing beach stay, then Arashi Beach is your best bet. You can choose to stay in one of the numerous palapas and huts in the area and just take in the view, enjoy some good food and drinks at the Arashi Beach Shack, or take a relaxed swim in the calm waters. Another attraction near the beach is the California Lighthouse, which is open for tours and can be an excellent way to catch a perfect sunset view.

  1. Malmok Beach

Malmok Beach is a narrow rocky strip located at Noord and is another great destination for those looking to try out various water sports. Its calm and clear waters make it a popular location for snorkeling, although one can enjoy fishing, windsurfing, and paddleboarding in it as well. Malmok Beach is also a common starting point for those looking to go diving to get a glimpse of the Antilla shipwreck.

  1. Tres Trapi

Tres Trapi—meaning “three steps”— is named as such because the entrance to it contains three steps carved into stone. Located near Malmok Beach, this small sandy cove is famous for its abundance of starfish. Take a snorkeling tour and marvel at the hundreds of cushion sea stars, which is a common species of starfish you’ll find on the sea bed around the cove. However, do remember that they’re only to be looked at and shouldn’t be taken out of the water.

  1. Renaissance Island

Renaissance Island is a private beach in downtown Oranjestad and can only be accessed by guests of the associated resort. The spot is famous for its pink flamingos that you can find roaming around. The beach itself offers various amenities such as overwater bungalows, beach cabanas, spas, and restaurants. Tourists looking for a more intimate beach experience should consider trying out this beautiful resort

  1. Blackstone Beach

If you’re looking for a hidden gem, Blackstone Beach fits the bill. While it cannot offer you a typical beach experience as it lacks a sandy coastline and swimming isn’t recommended considering the strong currents, the trip may still be well worth it if you love photography or hiking because the beach offers scenic views of the surrounding landscape and seascape. As there isn’t any public transportation leading to the area, however, do keep in mind that you’ll have to arrange for transportation or join a tour to get to Blackstone Beach.

Apart from the ones in this article, there are still dozens of beaches waiting for you in Aruba. After you’re done visiting the spots on this list, make sure to keep your eyes peeled for other amazing beaches you can go to next.
