We all love a good festival. To give you a helping hand, here is our round up of nine of the best festivals in Colorado in 2024.

Frozen Dead Guy Days

15 to 17 March 2024

Starting with the weirdest, the Frozen Dead Guy Days is a Colorado music festival held in homage to Bredo Morstol who is held in suspended animation. For four days Estes Park descends into chaos with live music, coffin races, polar plunges and a zombie bar crawl. We said it was weird!

Denver Day of Rock 2024, Colorado

1 June 2024

If you enjoy family-friendly rock music in the aid of a good cause then this Denver music festival is for you. The Colorado free festival is held in the LoDo downtown area of the city and features four stage. Money is raised for Amp the Cause which supports non-profit organisations across Denver.

Five Points Jazz Festival, Denver
8 June 2024

Another free music festival in Denver, the Five Points Jazz Festival is held in the neighbourhood famed for its jazz clubs. Miles Davis and Thelonius Monk are amongst the jazz greats that have played here. With 10 stages and 50 bands to choose from, you can join the 100,000 fans for one of the greatest jazz festivals in the United States.

Juneteenth Music Festival Denver Colorado

15 to 16 June 2024

Also, held in the Five Points district in downtown Denver, Colorado, The Juneteenth Music Festival celebrates African American culture. The original Juneteenth Parade was held in the 1950s. Now, more than 5,000 paraders march through the city. In addition to educational activities concerning African American culture, there will be art, live music and fun for the kids. Some 70,000 will join in the event.

Telluride Bluegrass Festival

Set with the most spectacular backdrop of the peeks of the Rock Mountains, Telluride is the ultimate venue for a music festival in Colorado. The first of two major festivals held in the town, Telluride Bluegrass Festival focuses naturally on bluegrass music, but not exclusively. Sam Bush Band, Lyle Lovett and his Large Band and Charley Crockett will headline the 2024 Colorado music festival. Not to be confused with the Telluride Blues & Beer Festival (see below).

Cherry Creek Arts Festival, Denver

5 to 7 July 2024

One of the leading art festivals in the United States, the Cherry Creek Arts Festival involves some 250 artists from the state of Colorado, across the United States and globally. The free festival in Denver has live music, food and activities for the kids, as well as educational activities. CherryArts raises money for educational programmes for 40,000 students in the city.

Telluride Blues & Beers Festival
13 to 15 September

Since 1994, the Telluride Blues and Beer Festival has grown to include some of the best craft beers in the Colorado and across the United States. Music giants such as Lou Reed, BB King, James Brown, Joe Cocker and Willie Nelson have performed Telluride in the past. The 2024 Telluride Music line up will be announced in March when tickets also go on sale.

Great American Beer Festival

10 to 12 October

Great American Beer Festival

Craft beer has become a major phenomenon in Colorado as in the rest of the United States. Held at the Colorado Convention Center, the Great American Beer Festival claims to be America’s favourite beer festival. It certainly has one of the vastest collection of craft beers on offer within the United States.

Denver Film Festival 2024 Colorado

1 to 10 November

If you are looking for film festivals in Colorado, then the Denver Film Festival is the one for you. Held across ten days in November, this is one of the leading film festivals in the US. Filmmakers meet creatives in a series of events across Denver including many pop ups. More than 40,000 people will attend the 47th anniversary of one of the major festivals in Colorado.
